GENERAL POLICIES
Instructor Questions / Course Content Clarification (NOT PERMITTED): For a variety of reasons, including but not limited to liability considerations, Students are not permitted to ask questions directly to instructors or request clarification of course content. Because AFAM training programs consist of pre-recorded webinars, this type of training has certain inherent limitations. As such, Student questions are not answered during or after the presentations, and AFAM does not provide additional clarification or explanation of course content, even if a Student believes that any portion of the material is unclear or requires further explanation. However, each presentation may include direct links to authoritative sources and reference materials that allow Students to research topics independently and explore the subject matter in greater depth. These resources are provided so Students can obtain additional information and remain informed about current rules, guidelines, and industry updates throughout the year. Please Note: If a Student is specifically seeking or would ultimately prefer a training program that allows them to ask course questions or request clarification on course material, a AFAM training program may not be the right fit for their needs.
Job Placement / Career Counseling (NOT PROVIDED): AFAM does not provide job placement assistance or career counseling of any kind. Students who enroll in our certification programs should understand that, while our courses are designed to enhance professional knowledge and career preparedness, AFAM does not guarantee employment, provide job outlooks, define specific job roles, or facilitate job placement or job-matching services. Students are solely responsible for pursuing employment opportunities and making their own career decisions. Employment outcomes depend on a variety of external factors beyond AFAM’s control, including but not limited to job market conditions, geographic location, individual experience, professionalism, communication skills, and the ability to network and interview effectively. As such, completion of a AFAM certification should be viewed as one component of broader career development efforts, and not as a direct path to employment.
Use of Certification and Branding: While students may reference their AFAM certification designation on resumes, professional bios, and platforms such as LinkedIn, the use of the AFAM logo or full brand name on business cards, promotional materials, websites, or advertisements is prohibited without explicit written authorization. Students may list the full name and acronym of their certification (e.g., Certified Agentic Manager -CAM) within a certification section of professional profiles or signatures, provided that such reference does not misrepresent affiliation or imply licensure or governmental endorsement. Any misuse of the AFAM brand may result in revocation of certification privileges.
1-Year Access: Upon enrollment, students will receive one year of access to the AFAM Academy Online Training Portal and all related services. This one-year access period begins on the date the student first logs into the Online Training Portal—not the date of purchase. Access includes all webinars, course materials, exams, and customer support.
AFAM Certification Revocation: AFAM reserves the right, at any time and in AFAM’s sole and absolute discretion, to revoke the Student’s AFAM Certification for reasons including (but not limited to):
violation of the AFAM Code of Ethics;
expiration of AFAM Certification;
cheating on a AFAM exam;
aiding in the cheating of a AFAM exam;
disclosing AFAM exam questions or answers to a third party;
misrepresenting their AFAM Certification.
Optional Yearly Re-Certification: To maintain an active AFAM Certification, students have the option to re-certify annually. If a student elects to renew their certification, a yearly re-certification fee will apply. As part of this process, the student must complete a new, timed, 1-hour online proctored exam. The fee also includes one-year access to updated AFAM Academy training classes required for re-certification. These course updates generally include only minor revisions and do not typically change significantly from year to year.
Certification Hold Harmless/Indemnification: By proceeding forward with obtaining any AFAM Certification, the Student hereby acknowledges and agrees to indemnify and hold harmless AFAM and its employees, officers, directors, trustees, shareholders, affiliates, and agents (as it relates to the Student’s AFAM Certification) from and against any and all liabilities, actions, claims, damages, costs, losses, and expenses, including, without limitation, reasonable attorneys’ fees & costs, arising out of (a) any negligent act or omission by Student, or (b) any breach by Student of any item contained in the AFAM Code of Ethics. This indemnification shall remain effective indefinitely and shall not terminate with the expiration or termination of the Student’s AFAM Certification.
3rd-Party Learning Management Software (LMS) Hold Harmless/Indemnification: AFAM®’s training division, AFAM Academy, utilizes a third-party service provider to deliver online training classes as part of our certification programs. By using this website and participating in any training or certification program, you agree to hold harmless and indemnify AFAM and its affiliates from any and all claims, damages, or losses arising out of or related to the use, performance, or availability of AFAM Academy’s third-party Learning Management Software (LMS). AFAM is not responsible for any technical issues, data loss, access interruptions, or other damages resulting from third-party systems beyond our control.
Trademark: Except as provided in item 1 in the above “General Policies” section, the Student is not authorized to use any AFAM trademarks, service marks, or logos. The Student may not use those marks until the Students certification is attained and a misrepresentation or an omission of any material fact is cause for denial or revocation of any right the Student may have to use the AFAM Certification marks. The Student’s use of any of the Certification Marks prior to receiving a AFAM Certification constitutes infringement of AFAM’s rights, and AFAM is entitled to pursue all legal and equitable remedies for such infringement.
Complaint Resolution Not Provided: If a complaint is made against a Student, AFAM will not get involved in “complaint resolution”, and as such, will not become the judge in deciding who is right and who is wrong.
3RD-PARTY ONLINE PROCTORING - INDEMNIFY/HOLD HARMLESS
As outlined in the AFAM Terms of Use, AFAM utilizes a third-party service provider to deliver online test proctoring services as part of our certification programs. By participating in any program that includes a proctored exam, the student acknowledges and accepts that the proctoring service may be subcontracted to an independent provider.
AFAM makes no representations or warranties, express or implied, regarding the availability, accuracy, reliability, or performance of any third-party proctoring service. The student agree that the use of such services is at the student’s own risk and subject to the terms, policies, and privacy practices of the third-party provider.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the student agrees to release, indemnify, and hold harmless AFAM, its officers, directors, employees, agents, affiliates, and licensors from any and all claims, damages, liabilities, losses, or expenses — including, without limitation, legal fees and costs — arising out of or related to the student’s use of or reliance on the online test proctoring service, including but not limited to:
Technical difficulties or service outages
Disputes related to test conduct, results, privacy concerns or security
Alleged breaches of privacy or data protection
Any action or inaction of the third-party proctoring provider
AFAM does not control and is not responsible for the content, conduct, or policies of third-party vendors. It is the student’s responsibility to ensure that the student’s computer, software, and testing environment meet the technical requirements and conduct standards outlined by the proctoring provider.
The student’s continued use of this site and participation in any proctored program signifies the student’s acceptance of these terms.
